Made in Green
Bari Mills is certified to produce OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN products, which is a traceable product label for all kinds of textile products that have been manufactured in environmentally friendly facilities under safe and socially responsible working conditions.
Bari Mills is a certified OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN Unit equipped with the most modern and latest effluent treatment plant with MBR technology, and is now fully functional with a 75% recovery of water, thus saving both water and costs.
The MADE IN GREEN label also reassures consumers that the textile products are made of materials that have been tested for harmful substances, with optimized chemical management, responsible handling of wastewater and emissions, and waste management practices like recycling of textile waste. These processes are coupled with fair working conditions, a ban on forced and child labor, and ensured occupational safety and health protection.
Reducing Carbon Footprint
In its strive for excellence, BARI has initiated a brand new facility to meet growing global demand. BARI’s newly expanded location will feature multiple stitching floors and a new dyeing house equipped with modern dyeing machines that reduce both water and energy consumption by 25%.
It will be the first LEED-certified, dedicated towel manufacturing unit in Pakistan, where more than 60% of the energy will come from solar power. This facility is in its final completion stage and is expected to be fully operational with all necessary compliances in place by the end of the 2nd quarter of 2023.
Renewable Energy Achievement
BARI is committed to utilizing renewable energy sources to minimize its carbon footprint. The newly expanded facility is equipped with state-of-the-art solar panels, supplying over 60% of the total energy needs from renewable sources. This achievement not only contributes to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions but also supports sustainable manufacturing processes.
The incorporation of renewable energy reflects BARI’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, aligning with global sustainability goals and ensuring that its operations remain eco-friendly while meeting the growing demand for textile products.
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
